Akina Umemoto is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Montclair State University's College of Humanities and Social Sciences. She earned her Ph.D. in Cognition and Brain Sciences from University of Victoria in 2016.
Her research examines: 1) neural mechanisms of reward processing, 2) cognitive control modulation of reward/effort-based behaviors, and 3) alterations in these processes in depression and anxiety.
