Akiko Ogino is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Modern Languages & Literatures specializing in Japanese language education at Beloit College. She teaches Japanese courses across proficiency levels, emphasizing practical application and cultural understanding. Her office is located in Room 9 (basement), World Affairs Center.

Her teaching philosophy integrates language proficiency with cultural immersion, advocating study-abroad experiences in Japan. She has served as a judge for the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Program, which places participants in Japanese schools and government agencies.
