She is affiliated with the Centre of Excellence for Learning Dynamics and Intervention Research InterLearn (2022–2029).
Her research interests include child development processes (e.g., communicative development, executive functioning), teacher self-efficacy in inclusive education contexts, and educational practices across Finland, Japan, and Saudi Arabia. She employs longitudinal cohort studies (e.g., FinnBrain Birth Cohort), psychometric analyses (Rasch models), and structural equation modeling in her work.
Her recent publications explore maternal emotional availability's impact on child development, reciprocal mother-child interaction patterns, and cross-cultural differences in teacher attitudes toward inclusion. Key findings highlight the role of cultural contexts in shaping educational policies and teacher practices.
Achievements include a 2020 doctoral dissertation analyzing teacher self-efficacy in Japan and Finland, and contributions to meta-analyses on inclusive education attitudes. Current projects involve investigating early childhood language development trajectories and executive functioning profiles up to age five.
Her research integrates developmental psychology with educational policy analysis, emphasizing practical applications for improving inclusive practices in diverse educational systems.
