Ajay Sharda is a Professor at the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering, Kansas State University, holding the Terry Beemer Foundation Chair for Engineering Innovation and recognized as a University Outstanding Scholar. He co-directs the Institute for Digital Agriculture and Advanced Analytics and leads the FarmsLab initiative.
- Education: Ph.D. in Biosystems Engineering (Auburn University, 2011), M.Tech. in Farm Power and Machinery (Punjab Agricultural University, 2001), B.Tech. in Agricultural Engineering (Punjab Agricultural University, 1998)
Research Interests span automation, sensor development, computer vision, and AI for agricultural machinery. His work includes experimental validation of control systems, thermal imaging, and unmanned vehicles for precision agriculture.
