Aimée Classen

Aimée Classen is a Professor and Director of the University of Michigan Biological Station (UMBS), leading a 13,000-acre research campus. She is affiliated with the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of Michigan.

Research Interests: Her work focuses on ecosystem ecology, global change, nutrient cycling, plant-soil interactions, and biodiversity. The Classen Lab investigates:

• Connections among soil organisms, herbivores, plants, and ecosystem function
• Impact of global change on biodiversity and ecosystem dynamics
• Scale and context in ecological patterns
