Aimee C Welsh, MD, FACC, DipABLM, is an Assistant Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine and Radiology at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW). She specializes in preventive cardiology, cardiac imaging (including echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, and advanced cardiac MRI), and lifestyle medicine. Her practice integrates traditional medical management with plant-based nutrition and holistic approaches to cardiovascular health.
Education & Training:
- MD: George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences (2005)
- Internal Medicine Residency: Georgetown University School of Medicine (2005–2006)
- Cardiovascular Medicine Fellowship: MCW (2009–2012)
Research & Roles: Dr. Welsh leads the Community Outreach working group for MCW’s Center for Disease Prevention and Research (CDPR) Lifestyle Medicine Program. She previously served as Director of Cardiovascular Services at Froedtert West Bend Hospital and held an Assistant Professor appointment at Tufts University during her time with Maine Health (2020–2022). She advises the Tufts University Resident Lifestyle Medicine group and promotes science-backed lifestyle interventions.
