Aileen McColgan is Professor of Human Rights Law at the Dickson Poon School of Law, King's College London, where she joined in August 1991, became a Reader in 1999, and was appointed Professor in 2001. She maintains an active role in legal practice as a member of Matrix Chambers, engaging in litigation and policy work.
Her research focuses on equality, discrimination, and human rights law, with significant contributions to labour law, criminal law, and evidence. Professor McColgan's scholarly work spans theoretical and practical dimensions of human rights protection across multiple legal contexts.
