Dr. Aidil Zaini is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Immunology at Monash University, School of Translational Medicine, and is affiliated with the Alfred Hospital. His research is centered on understanding mucosal immune responses, particularly in the context of diet, neuro-immune crosstalk, and the gut-immune-brain axis during health and inflammatory diseases such as inflammatory bowel disease.
His research interests span Mucosal Immunology, Neuro-Immune Interactions, and Gut-Immune-Brain Axis dynamics. With a strong focus on how dietary factors influence immune responses, Dr. Zaini explores the immunological mechanisms underlying chronic inflammation and barrier integrity in the gut. His work integrates immunological, metabolic, and neurological perspectives to uncover novel pathways in disease pathogenesis.
