Ahsen Yalın is a PhD researcher in the Polymer Performance Materials group at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). Her research focuses on closed-loop recycling of polymers using photocatalysis to cleave stable C-C bonds in polymer backbones via light energy, contributing to sustainable waste management.
Education:
- BSc in Chemistry, Istanbul Technical University (2019), High Honor Degree with third highest GPA.
- MSc in Chemistry, Koç University, Istanbul (2022), specializing in transition-metal catalysis and photocatalysis for organic transformations.
Research Interests: Polymer degradation, green energy applications, nanocatalyst synthesis, and sustainable materials science.
Supervisors: Prof. Željko Tomović and Dr. Fabian Eisenreich.
Labs/Teams: Active member of the Polymer Performance Materials research group at TU/e.
