Ahmet Alper Ayana is a Researcher in the Acting Department of the Faculty of Performing Arts at Near East University, where he teaches diction/voice-speech, role-playing, introduction to acting-mimicry, and stagecraft. He serves as theater instructor for the Eastern Mediterranean University Theatre Club and teaches ney flute at Nicosia Yunus Emre Institute, TRNC-METU Turkish Folklore Music Ensemble, and Nicosia Contemporary Music Association.
His educational background includes:

His research integrates Traditional Turkish Theater, Sufism, and Ney Music with contemporary pedagogical approaches. With extensive practical experience since 2005, he specializes in Geleneksel Türk Tiyatrosu (Traditional Turkish Theater) forms including Karagöz-Hacivat, Kavuklu-Pişekar, and mystical performance traditions rooted in Sufism. His work bridges academic theory with embodied practice through ney music and theatrical expression.
Ahmet Alper Ayana founded Lefkoşa Hâyâli Sanat Atölyesi (2017/2018) where he serves as General Art Director, producing works like 'Mevlânā Bir Ses Yarım Nefes / Şebi Arus'. His community engagement spans theater instruction across multiple institutions and active participation in TRNC State Theaters productions including 'Hababam Sınıfı Kıbrıs’ta' (2019) where he performed as Berkay.
