Prof. Ahmet Alkan ÇELİK is the current Rector of Doğuş Üniversitesi, serving since September 2024. He holds a Professorship in the Department of Economics at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. His academic journey includes roles as Beykent Üniversitesi’s Vice Rector (2024), Dean (2018–2024), and Chair of the Board of Trustees (2013–2024). He earned his PhD from Marmara Üniversitesi’s Middle East Studies Institute in 2019, focusing on macroeconomic analysis of Gulf economies.

- PhD in Middle Eastern Economic Analysis, Marmara Üniversitesi (2006)
Research focuses on Macroeconomics, Economic Growth, Inflation, and Development Economics, with emphasis on policy impacts in emerging markets. His work bridges theoretical frameworks with regional case studies, particularly in the Middle East and Balkans. Recent studies analyze pandemic-era monetary policies and university-industry collaboration models.
Administrative leadership spans over 15 years, including roles as University Secretary (2009), Institute Director (2013), and International Relations Officer (2018). He has advised numerous academic programs and led institutional reforms.
