Ahmed Rezk

Dr. Ahmed Rezk is a Senior Lecturer in Thermal-Fluid Sciences at Aston University's College of Engineering and Physical Sciences, leading research in sustainable cooling, thermal energy storage, and renewable energy technologies. He holds a PhD from the University of Birmingham and is a Chartered Engineer (CEng) and Senior Fellow of the HE Academy (SFHEA). His work focuses on zero-carbon heating/cooling systems, adsorption/desiccant technologies, and sustainable process engineering.

Team Leadership: Supervises PhD students and leads teams on geothermal storage, mobile refrigeration, and aluminum furnace efficiency. Collaborates with global partners like the Energy and Bioproducts Research Institute (EBRI) and the Engineering for Sustainable Development Centre.

Labs & Initiatives: Leads the Reef-UKC project on net-zero cooling and directs the Eco-friendly Hybrid Desalination System initiative. Engages in applied research through KTP partnerships with industries in Africa and the UK.
