Ahmed Mahmoud is an Assistant Professor at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), affiliated with the TUM School of Computation, Information and Technology. His research focuses on the simulation of nanosystems for energy conversion under the leadership of Prof. Alessio Gagliardi.
- Research Interests: Molecular electronics, energy conversion, computational modeling, nanotechnology, and machine learning applications for materials predictions.
- Key Projects: DFG e-Conversion Cluster I-III, TUM ARTEMIS, EU Lion-Hearted, and IGSSE 11.02 CONTROL.
- Methods: Density Functional Theory (DFT), Kinetic Monte Carlo, Drift-Diffusion, and Multiscale Modeling.
