معرفی
Ahmed M. Eissa is a Senior Lecturer in Organic Chemistry at the University of Wolverhampton and an Honorary Associate Professor at the University of Warwick. He previously held research and academic positions at Warwick, Durham University, and Monash University, Australia.
- PhD in Chemistry, Durham University (2011)
- MSc in Organic Chemistry and Polymers Technology, Ain-Shams University (2005)
His research focuses on the intersection of Organic Polymer Chemistry and Biology, with emphasis on:
- Bioactive and bio-inspired polymers
- Glycopolymers and glyco-nanoparticles
- 3D bioprinting and tissue engineering
- Sustainable polymers and supramolecular chemistry
A recent analysis of his publications highlights interdisciplinary work in biomedical materials, functional polymers, and pathogen-targeting glycosylation techniques, leveraging methods like Click chemistry and catalytic chain transfer polymerisation (CCTP). His 15 most recent articles (2016–2025) span topics such as antimicrobial scaffolds, protocells, and organ-on-a-chip systems.
Scientific awards include:
- Member of the Royal Society of Chemistry (MRSC, 2012)
- Durham University Learning and Teaching Award (2013)
- Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA, 2014)
- EUTOPIA Young Leaders Academy Fellow (2021)
He supervises research students in areas including antimicrobial delivery, tissue engineering, and endometrial 3D models, and participates in editorial and professional roles with organizations like the Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine International Society.
