Dr. Ahmad Jibreen is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil, Construction Engineering, and Management at the University of Texas at Tyler. He also serves as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Texas at Arlington. His professional background includes roles as a Project Manager and Technical Support Engineer in the construction and engineering sectors.
Dr. Jibreen holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering (Construction Engineering and Management) from the University of Texas at Arlington, a Master’s in Construction Management from the same institution, and a Bachelor's in Computer & Electrical Engineering from Mu’tah University, Jordan.
His research focuses on predictive modeling for the Remaining Useful Life (RUL) of pipelines, particularly Prestressed Concrete Cylinder Pipes (PCCP), aiming to optimize inspection schedules and reduce infrastructure costs. He integrates advanced techniques like Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) and computer vision applications into his work. Key interests include trenchless technology, risk management, and innovative pipeline rehabilitation methods.
Dr. Jibreen has contributed to projects such as evaluating hybrid polyurea spray-applied pipelining and studying broken wire defects in PCCP. His academic and industry experience enables him to bridge theoretical knowledge with practical construction challenges.
