Dr. Agnes Woolley is an Associate Professor in World Literatures at the University of Southampton, specializing in Critical Migration Studies, Refugee Arts, and World Literary Studies. She holds a PhD from the University of Leeds (2011) and has prior academic experience at the University of Lincoln, Royal Holloway, University of London, and Birkbeck, University of London, where she was a Lecturer in Transnational Literature and Migration Cultures. Her research focuses on interdisciplinary analysis of refugee discourses, including a forthcoming book Stateless Cinema examining screen cultures and geopolitical refugee narratives, and the concept of 'migrant documentality' exploring legal and bureaucratic texts shaping migrant life.
