Dr. Agnes Ann Feemster serves as Associate Professor in the Department of Practice, Sciences, and Health Outcomes Research (P-SHOR) and Associate Dean for Faculty and Academic Affairs at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy. She also acts as the medication safety officer for oncology at Johns Hopkins Hospital. She holds a PharmD from the University of South Carolina and completed a pharmacy practice residency at the Medical College of Georgia. With over 15 years of clinical leadership experience, she leads pharmacy management courses and coordinates an international training program for pharmacists.

Research Focus: Dr. Feemster’s work emphasizes pharmacy leadership, medication safety systems, interprofessional education, and global health initiatives such as improving pediatric cancer care in Egypt. Her projects include a recent interprofessional assessment of healthcare provider safety culture in Cairo.
Awards: Recipient of the MSHP Purdum Award (2022) recognizing excellence in pharmacy practice leadership.
Advising & Grants: Led a University of Maryland Global Health Grant-funded project evaluating medication safety education needs in Egypt involving interprofessional student teams. Coordinated research on PGY1 residency match predictors and CPOE system optimization.
Labs/Teams: Oversees a first-year pharmacy student practice laboratory and directs the Advanced Practice Training Program for International Pharmacists.
