Aghilas Sini is a Lecturer and teacher-researcher in the LST team at LIUM (Laboratoire d'Informatique de Nantes Atlantique), part of the Université du Maine in Le Mans. His academic journey includes a Master's in Artificial Intelligence from Université Paul Sabatier (2014) and a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Rennes 1 (2020). Previously, he worked as a CNRS engineer at LORIA-INRIA’s Multispeech team and held a contract position at the University of Rennes in Lannion (2022).
His research focuses on expressive speech processing, including speech synthesis (text-to-speech, voice cloning), voice biometrics (deepfake detection), and computational tools for language learning. Current projects at LIUM aim to develop multilingual, expressive, and multimodal speech translation systems. Collaborations include work with Learn&Go on pronunciation analysis using automatic speech recognition.
Key research interests span speech conversion, privacy-preserving data techniques, and cross-linguistic speech technologies. His work bridges theoretical advancements with practical applications in both academic and industry settings.
