Agathos Spiros

Spiros Agathos is a Professor Emeritus at Université Catholique de Louvain (Belgium) and Chair Professor at Harbin Engineering University (China). He has held leadership roles including Rector of Yachay Tech University (Ecuador) and Dean of its School of Biological Sciences & Engineering. He obtained degrees from National Technical University of Athens, McGill University, and MIT. His research focuses on biochemical engineering, environmental biotechnology, and bioremediation. He has authored over 200 articles, 5 books, and 4 patents, and advised governments and industries globally.

Education: Dipl. Eng. (Chemical Engineering, NTUA), M. Eng. (McGill), Ph.D. (Biochemical Engineering, MIT). Professional roles include visiting professorships in Europe and the Americas, and editorial roles in journals like Biotechnology Advances and Microorganisms.
