Agata Wezyk is a part-time Lecturer in Psychology at Bournemouth University, affiliated with the Faculty of Science and Technology. Holding a PhD in Psychology (2021), she previously earned an MSc in Health and Clinical Psychology (2008) from the University of Lodz and a Post-graduate Diploma in Sports Psychology (2008).
- Current research examines protective factors and support systems for mental health practitioners during and after lockdowns
- Led mixed-methods projects on gender equality in parenting with University of Lincoln and Nuffield Foundation
- Expertise in stress, trauma, and resilience through quantitative and qualitative methodologies
- Active member of European Association of Work and Organisational Psychology (2020-) and British Psychological Society (2018-)
Her recent publications explore empathy in psychotherapy, resilience among surgeons, and identity dynamics in gendered caregiving roles. Collaborations span institutions including University of West London, Lyon Catholic University, and University of Lincoln.
Grants include BU QR-fund projects on mental health worker resilience (2020, 2021) and Women's Academic Network funding for work-life balance research (2021). Teaching focuses on Developmental Psychology, Health Psychology, and Advanced Research Methods.
