Afsana Momen is an Assistant Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the American College of Pharmacy. She holds an MBBS from the University of Dhaka and an MSc in Medical and Pharmaceutical Research from Vrije University of Brussels, where she specialized in nuclear imaging with a thesis on Myocardial Perfusion and Function.

Dr. Momen's career spans clinical and research roles in nuclear medicine and cardiovascular imaging. She trained at Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission and University Hospital, Vrije University of Brussels, under Dr. Axel Bossuyt. In the U.S., she worked as a post-doctoral research fellow and instructor at Penn State College of Medicine, focusing on cardiovascular adjustments during exercise using Doppler blood flow imaging. She later trained in advanced echocardiography at Johns Hopkins Hospital under Dr. Ted Abraham.
Her research contributions include co-investigator roles on NIH RO1 grants and a certificate in simulation-based education from Penn State. She coordinates SimMan-based teaching and conducts educational research in ACP's SimLab. Leisure activities include music appreciation (sitar, violin, Tagore songs, ghazals), historical travel, and culinary gatherings.
