Adrien Rannaud is an Associate Professor in French Studies at the University of Toronto's Language Studies division. His research focuses on Quebec's literary and cultural history (19th–20th centuries), women’s writing, media culture, celebrity studies, and middlebrow culture.

His recent publications analyze economic narratives in women's fiction, historical gender roles in journalism, and celebrity culture's media construction. Current SSHRC-funded research investigates Quebec press's role in shaping celebrity identities.
