Adrian Perrig is a Professor at the Department of Computer Science, ETH Zürich, Switzerland, where he leads the Network Security Group. He also holds the titles of Distinguished Fellow at CyLab and Adjunct Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University.
Education:
- BSc in Computer Engineering from École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL)
- MS and PhD in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University
- Three-year research period at the University of California, Berkeley, during his PhD
Research Interests: Adrian focuses on designing and implementing secure systems, with a primary emphasis on the SCION secure Internet architecture. His work addresses fundamental challenges in network security, cybersecurity, and information privacy, aiming to revolutionize internet infrastructure resilience and trustworthiness.

Leadership & Collaborations: He previously served as Technical Director of Carnegie Mellon's Cybersecurity Laboratory (CyLab) from 2007 to 2012 and held faculty positions across three departments (Electrical and Computer Engineering, Engineering and Public Policy, and Computer Science) at CMU from 2002 to 2012. At ETH Zürich, he continues to lead the Network Security Group, driving advancements in secure communication frameworks.
