Adrian L. Burke is a full professor at the Department of Anthropology, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Université de Montréal. His work focuses on pre-contact Indigenous societies of the Northeastern North America, with emphasis on lithic technology, raw material usage, and geochemistry.

Research Interests:
Specializing in pre-contact Indigenous archaeology, Dr. Burke studies lithic technology (stone tools), raw material sourcing (e.g., chert quarries), and exchange networks. His fieldwork spans Quebec, Ontario, Nunavik, Portugal, France, and the northeastern United States.
Projects and Grants:
He leads the Archéoscience-Archéosociale (As2) group, funded by FRQSC, and co-developed the Quebec Lithic Reference Collection. He has secured grants from CRSH and FRQSC for projects on prehistoric material exchange and climate-human interactions.
Supervision:
Dr. Burke has supervised over 20 master's and PhD students, including Marie-Ève Thibodeau, Laetitia Masson, Yoann Pépin, and Manek Kolhatkar, focusing on topics like lithic debitage, zooarchaeology, and Indigenous archaeology.
