Adrian Figg

Adrian Figg is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Virginia Tech's College of Science. His research focuses on developing advanced polymer architectures inspired by biological precision, with applications in disease study, sustainable materials, and recycling technologies. He completed his B.A. in Chemistry at the University of California, Santa Barbara (2013), earned his Ph.D. from the University of Florida (2018), and conducted postdoctoral research at Northwestern University (2018–2021).

Research interests include programmable polymer synthesis using controlled radical techniques, protein-polymer conjugates for therapeutics, and stimuli-responsive materials.
