Adrian Bevan is a Professor of Physics and Head of the School of Physical and Chemical Sciences at Queen Mary University of London. He is affiliated with the Particle Physics Research Centre and is a Turing Fellow, Fellow of the Institute of Physics, and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. His research focuses on particle physics beyond the Standard Model, CP violation studies, detector technology development, and applications of machine learning in high-energy physics.
Education:
- PhD in Physics from the University of Cambridge (2000)
- Senior Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Liverpool (2000–2006)
- Joined Queen Mary University of London as a Lecturer (2006), promoted to Professor in 2020.
Research Interests:
- Search for physics beyond the Standard Model at CERN's LHC.
- CP violation studies using data from ATLAS and DUNE collaborations.
- Development of advanced detectors (silicon trackers, organic radiation detectors).
- Applications of machine learning in particle physics analysis.
