Adolfo Ramos

Dr. Adolfo Ramos is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Education Teacher Education at Southeast Missouri State University, affiliated with the College of Allied Health, Kinesiology, & Sport Sciences. With over 10 years of university-level teaching experience, he specializes in preparing future physical education teachers through courses such as Teaching Techniques of Physical Education, Secondary Physical Education Field Experience, Adapted Physical Education, and Team and Individual Sports.

Research Interests:Dr. Ramos’ research focuses on three core areas in Physical Education Teacher Education (PETE):

• Acquisition of novel motor skills through feedback mechanisms
• Innovative teaching methods integrating technology in PETE programs
• Development of pre-service teachers’ pedagogical content knowledge (PCK)

His work has been presented at national and regional conferences, including AAHPERD, Hawaii International Conference on Education, Southern District Conference, and state-level events in Kentucky and Puerto Rico. Dr. Ramos also brings extensive practical experience from 15 years of coaching NCAA Division I and III women’s volleyball teams, along with representing Puerto Rico’s Team Handball National Team in multiple international competitions.
