Adolfo Cavalié

Prof. Dr. Adolfo Cavalié is a University Professor at Saarland University, affiliated with the Center for Molecular Signaling (PZMS) and the Department of Experimental and Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology in Homburg, Germany. His research focuses on calcium signaling mechanisms in mammalian cells, particularly investigating ion channels, endoplasmic reticulum function, and cellular homeostasis.

His recent publications show a growing focus on therapeutic applications of calcium signaling research, particularly in cancer treatment through targeting Sec62 function in intracellular calcium homeostasis, and potential interventions for genetic disorders involving Sec61α mutations using compounds like phenylbutyrate.
