Dr. Adnan Trakic is an Associate Professor in the Department of Business Law and Taxation at the School of Business, Monash University Malaysia. His work focuses on Contract Law, Comparative Law (common law and Islamic law), and Conventional/Islamic Finance Law, addressing issues of Dispute Resolution and Commercial Law. He teaches Business Law, Philosophy of Research, and International Trade Law.

- 2023-2025 Project: Formulating legal frameworks for blockchain in Malaysia’s energy sector.
His research bridges Islamic Law and Common Law traditions, with a focus on Energy Justice and Blockchain Technology. Recent publications address legal harmonization, energy sustainability, and AI in legal reasoning, aligning with UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 7, 16). He mentors PhD students and contributes to public discourse through Press/Media on topics like academic freedom and pandemic-related contract non-performance.
