Aditya Nittala is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Calgary, affiliated with the DIFF Lab (Devices, Interaction and Fabrication for the Future). His research focuses on Epidermal Computing, wearable devices, and digital fabrication, blending disciplines like Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, and Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). He holds a PhD from Saarland University (2022), MSc from the University of Calgary (2016), and B.Eng from Visvesvaraya Technological University (2010).

Research interests include developing soft, skin-conformal devices for expressive human-computer interaction, such as PhysioSkin and ecSkin. Awards include the ACM CHI People's Choice Best Demo (2023) and multiple Best Paper Awards at UIST (2022, 2019). His work has been featured in Engadget, The Times, and Device Med.
Teaching areas cover HCI fundamentals, interactive systems, research methods, and physical computing. His lab explores computational design tools for fabricating epidermal devices and addressing challenges in on-skin interaction design.
