Aditi Mulgaonkar

Aditi Mulgaonkar, Ph.D., is an Instructor in the Department of Radiology at UT Southwestern Medical Center, affiliated with its Radiology Research Division. She previously served as a senior research associate in the Cyclotron and Radiochemistry Program, supporting Dr. Xiankai Sun's work on theranostic macromolecules. Her research focuses on radiotherapeutic nanoseeds, cancer theranostics, and antibody-based tumor detection using PET imaging, resulting in 14 peer-reviewed publications. Dr. Mulgaonkar holds a pharmacy degree from the University of Mumbai, a Ph.D. in pharmaceutical sciences from Virginia Commonwealth University, and postdoctoral training at the FDA and UT Southwestern.

Her research interests emphasize molecular imaging advancements, particularly in bacterial infections and cancer diagnostics. She is a member of the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging and contributes to editorial roles in journals like EC Pharmaceutical Science and International Journal of Nanomedicine.

Her work spans drug transport studies, nanocrystal synthesis, and imaging techniques for CAR T-cell therapy. Ongoing projects include developing novel HIF2a PET tracers and refining immunoPET imaging for PD-L1 expression in renal cell carcinoma models. Her contributions bridge clinical translation and precision medicine, with a focus on nanotheranostics and radiolabeling strategies.
