Adis Muminović is a full professor at the University of Sarajevo, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Department of Mechanical Constructions. With extensive expertise in mechanical design, product development, and additive manufacturing, he has established himself as a leading researcher in polymer gears and CAD applications. His work bridges theoretical engineering principles with practical industrial applications, particularly in Industry 4.0 technologies.
Professor Muminović's research spans mechanical design, product development, CAD systems, rapid prototyping, industrial design, tribology, and additive manufacturing. He has made significant contributions to polymer gear performance, particularly those produced through 3D printing. His recent work focuses on tribological and thermal performance of PVDF gears, failure analysis of polymer gears, and 3D scanning integration in manufacturing processes.
His publication record shows strong applied research with practical industrial implications, particularly in gear design, mechanical stability analysis, and additive manufacturing applications. The research demonstrates increasing sophistication in material science applications, especially with polymers in mechanical components, and growing emphasis on digital manufacturing technologies including 3D scanning and CAD/CAM integration.
