Adel Zaraa

Dr. Adel Zaraa is a Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the College of Medicine, Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED). He is a board-certified psychiatrist with expertise in consultation-liaison psychiatry, global health, and medical education. In 2012, he established the first C&L fellowship program in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region and served as its director at HMC-WCMC-Q until recently. He co-authored the Guidelines for Mental Health in Primary Health Care Settings (2017) and has led mental health training workshops across the Gulf region.

He chairs the Global Psychiatry Special Interest Group (SIG) at the American Psychiatric Association and maintains active collaborations with institutions in Lebanon, the UAE, and Qatar.
