Adejoke Rafiat Adetoro is a Doctoral Fellow at the Leibniz-Zentrum Moderner Orient in Berlin, Germany, focusing on the project "Religion, Morality and Boko in West Africa: Students Training for a Good Life (Remoboko)". She is also a Junior Research Fellow at IFRA-Nigeria (French Institute for Research in Africa), affiliated with the University of Ibadan. Her research bridges history, gender studies, urbanism, and security dynamics in Africa, with a strong interdisciplinary approach.

Her work explores the intersections of religion, urban infrastructure, and governance, particularly in West Africa. Key themes include women's empowerment, inter-agency collaboration for security, and historical analyses of socio-political transitions.
