Ade Otukoya

Ade Otukoya is a Senior Lecturer in Accounting and Finance at the Faculty of Business and Law, University of Northampton, where he serves as Head of the School of Professional Business Education. He leads the finance module on the MBA course and teaches auditing at the undergraduate level.

• Education: B.Sc in Economics, LLB in Law, MBA from the University of Derby, and a PhD in Economics and Finance from the University of Gdansk, Poland.

His research focuses on entrepreneurship, economic development, financial management, and mergers/acquisitions, with a particular emphasis on middle-class consumer behavior and family enterprises in emerging markets like Nigeria, Poland, China, Mexico, and Sri Lanka. His recent articles explore pandemic-induced shifts in consumer spending and cross-country competitive strategies for family businesses.

Ade is an experienced trainer and management consultant, having worked with firms such as KPMG and Hewlett Packard in the UK. He also contributes to the UN Sustainable Development Goals through work in education, economic development, and sustainable finance.
