Adarsh Prasad Behera

Adarsh Prasad Behera is currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Division of Information Science and Engineering within KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden. He previously held postdoctoral positions at the Edge Networks lab of IMDEA Networks Institute, Spain, and has worked as a Teaching and Research Assistant at the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Allahabad, India.

Education:

• PhD in Machine Learning from IIIT Allahabad (2022)
• Master’s in Wireless Communication Engineering from IIIT Allahabad (2022)

Research Interests: Adarsh’s work focuses on Machine Learning, Edge Intelligence, and Internet of Things (IoT), with applications in Computer Vision, Wireless Communication, and Network Science. His recent publications highlight advancements in hierarchical inference architectures for edge computing, energy-efficient on-device processing, and event detection in IoT systems. Key subfields include TinyML, Model Partitioning, Distributed AI, and Latency Optimization.

Advising and Collaborations: Adarsh collaborates on cutting-edge research with students and colleagues, including contributions to works by Dr. Anubhav and Afroditi. His efforts are part of a broader initiative in edge AI, as evidenced by his involvement in organizing a 2025 Summer School on Edge AI at KTH. He has also contributed to energy consumption analysis in sensor-based IoT systems and hierarchical inference frameworks.

Labs and Teams: Adarsh works with Prof. James Gross at KTH and previously collaborated with Prof. Jaya Prakash Champati at IMDEA Networks Institute’s Edge Networks lab. His research spans academic and industry domains, including a stint as a Decision Scientist at FIGHTRIGHT Technologies Private Limited, India (2022).
