Dr. Rosenthal's work interrogates intersections between philosophy and literary forms, particularly the gift's role in poetic discourse and its tension with market economics. His book Poetics and the Gift (2022) traces this theme from antiquity to conceptual poetics. Current projects include Prosthetic Immortalities, examining biological immortality through Heideggerian and Derridean frameworks.
His recent articles explore themes like artificial life, biotechnological ethics, and Derrida's seminars. He serves as Associate Editor of the Online Archive of Jacques Derrida's Seminars.
Research areas span Romantic literature, continental philosophy, transhumanism, and deconstruction's applications to modern science and technology.
