Adam Love is an Associate Professor in the Department of Kinesiology, Recreation, and Sport Studies at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He holds a BS, MS, and PhD in Sport Management and Sport Studies from Washington State University and the University of Tennessee. His research focuses on ethical and just practices in sport, including gender and racial ideologies, public sociology discourse, and sport participation motivations. Love has held editorial roles with journals like Sociology of Sport Journal and Engaging Sports, and served as President of the Applied Sport Management Association. His work critically examines racial representation in media, athlete activism, and structural barriers in sport organizations. He teaches courses like Socio-Cultural Foundations of Sport and Recreation, emphasizing social justice themes. Love’s recent publications analyze NCAA administrative diversity patterns and media framing of controversial sport issues.
