معرفی
Prof. Dr. Adam Lange is the Head of the Lange Group at the Leibniz Institute for Molecular Pharmacology (FMP) in Berlin, Germany. His research focuses on protein structure and dynamics using solid-state NMR spectroscopy and biophysical methods. He leads a team studying membrane proteins in native lipid environments and supramolecular assemblies like bacterial secretion systems and cytoskeletal filaments.
Key research areas include ion channel selectivity mechanisms, rhomboid protease activation, and method development for structural biology. The group collaborates on projects involving molecular dynamics simulations and biochemical assays to understand protein function at atomic resolution.
Current advisees include PhD students Spyridon Kosteletos, Alexandra Kovinko, and Taoran Xiao. The group has pioneered studies on the conformational plasticity of non-selective cation channels and developed novel NMR approaches to probe protein-lipid interactions.
