Adam Jones is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Mississippi State University's Bagley College of Engineering. His teaching portfolio includes Virtual Reality, Immersive Media, Computer Graphics, Data Science, and Human-Centered Computing. His research integrates virtual/augmented reality with neuroscience and ophthalmology to understand spatial vision and engineer perceptually accurate systems, supported by an NSF CAREER grant.
Research interests focus on:
- High-fidelity virtual environments
- Spatial perception modeling
- VR/AR display technologies
- Neural correlates of visual processing
- Prototyping novel interaction devices
Jones has mentored over 50 graduate and undergraduate researchers across projects ranging from EEG studies of depth perception to holographic displays. He directs the High Fidelity Virtual Environments (Hi5) Lab.
