Dr. Adam Davis is a Professor in the Department of Physical Sciences and Mathematics at Wayne State College, serving as both the pre-engineering advisor and Physics Lab Director. He previously taught at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and contributed to astronomy education initiatives such as the Nebraska Astronomy Applet Project and ClassAction programs. His academic affiliations include membership in the Nebraska Academy of Sciences (chair of the physics section) and Heterodox Academy, emphasizing open-mindedness and political diversity in academia.
Education:
- Ph.D. in Physics (Cosmology emphasis), Case Western Reserve University (2005)
- B.S. in Physics, Brigham Young University (2000)
Research interests span cosmology, theoretical physics (faster-than-light possibilities, Bohmian mechanics), and interdisciplinary topics like determinism, free will, and theology. Maintains technical proficiency in Javascript. Currently represents the Academic Policies department and oversees the Physics Lab.
