Technical University of Denmarkمعرفی
Adam Christopher Hambly is a Senior Researcher at the Department of Environmental and Resource Engineering, Technical University of Denmark (DTU). His research focuses on sustainable water treatment technologies, including advanced oxidation processes, fluorescence spectroscopy for water quality monitoring, and biofilm reactor systems. He is actively involved in projects addressing aquaculture wastewater, ozonation in recirculating systems, and low-trophic aquaculture for green transition.
- Affiliations: DTU Sustainability, Department of Environmental and Resource Engineering
Research interests include Fenton chemistry applications, removal of antibiotics and micropollutants, and optimizing bioreactor systems. He has contributed to 20+ publications and leads/co-leads projects like BIZON (industrial aquaculture wastewater treatment), Blue Food (sustainable aquaculture production), and OTTER (water quality mapping in Copenhagen Harbour).
Notable projects include developing reagentless Fenton processes for complex wastewater and using fluorescence EEM spectroscopy for membrane fouling analysis. His work aligns with UN SDGs 6 (Clean Water) and 14 (Life Below Water).
- Grants & Projects: BIZON (2023–2025), Blue Food (2023–2027), Fluorescence Water Quality Sensor (2021–2024)
He advises PhD students T. Nair and W. Zhang, and has presented at conferences on topics like ozone effects on organic matter and bioelectrochemical AOPs.
