معرفی
Adam Abramowicz serves as Associate Professor at Warsaw University of Technology's Institute of Electronic Systems within the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology. He concurrently holds leadership positions as Head of the Microwave Circuits and Instrumentation Division and Head of Doctoral Studies (since 2016), with additional service as Chairman of the University's Election Committee (2018-2019).
His academic credentials include an M.Sc. (1982), Ph.D. (1993), and D.Sc. (2008) from Warsaw University of Technology. Professional development encompasses Senior Member status in IEEE and editorial roles for premier journals including IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques.
Professor Abramowicz's research centers on microwave circuit innovation, with pioneering work in dielectric resonator filters, HTS components, and microwave measurement methodologies. His contributions extend to electromagnetic modeling of resonators, coupler design, and accelerator RF systems, bridging theoretical frameworks with industrial applications in telecommunications and particle physics facilities.
Analysis of his 174 publications reveals sustained focus on advanced filter architectures and resonator optimization, with recent work (2018-2025) emphasizing high-directivity couplers for European Spallation Source infrastructure and novel dielectric structures. His research demonstrates consistent translation of theoretical microwave principles into accelerator technology solutions.
His professional recognition includes 3 institutional achievements and sustained service as an expert for the Polish Academy of Sciences' Electronics and Telecommunications Committee. He has chaired the International Conference on Microwaves, Radar and Wireless Communications (MIKON 2020) and contributed to editorial boards of 8 IEEE journals.
As an academic mentor, he has supervised 22 promoted theses while securing 21 research projects with emphasis on European Spallation Source collaborations. His current grant portfolio focuses on LLRF systems for superconducting cavities and microwave instrumentation development through the Polish Electronic Group (PEG).
He directs the Microwave Circuits and Instrumentation Division, which maintains specialized laboratories for resonator characterization, filter prototyping, and accelerator component testing. The division actively collaborates with CERN, DESY, and other international facilities through the ESS Collaboration Board.
