Ada Fenick, MD, is a Professor of Pediatrics at Yale School of Medicine with joint appointments as Medical Director of Yale New Haven Hospital's School Based Health Centers and Medical-Legal Partnership Project. She serves as Editor of the Yale Primary Care Pediatrics Curriculum and Associate Director for the Medical School Clerkship in Biopsychosocial Approach to Health. Dr. Fenick received her BS in Biomedical Sciences and MD from the University of Michigan, completing residency at New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center.
Her research focuses on improving pediatric primary care delivery for underserved populations, with specific interests in medical education reform, health disparities, childhood obesity prevention, breastfeeding support, and mitigating toxic stress effects on child development. She has pioneered work in group well-child care models and medical-legal partnerships addressing social determinants of health.
Recent publications (2014-2024) demonstrate strong research themes in innovative care delivery models, medical education outcomes, health equity interventions, and community-based participatory research. Her work frequently examines implementation science frameworks for preventive care programs targeting vulnerable pediatric populations.
