Abygail Gutierrez is a Predoctoral Instructor and Graduate Student in the Department of English at the University of Washington, College of Arts & Sciences. She serves as a Liaison for the UW in the High School program. Her research focuses on Asian American Critical Race Theory, Decolonial Environment, Rhetoric and Composition, and Rhetorical Theory.
As part of her role, she contributes to teaching and outreach initiatives within the Department of English, including program coordination and academic support for students. Her work bridges critical race studies, environmental rhetoric, and pedagogical practices in higher education.
Abygail is affiliated with the Program for Writing Across Campus and the Program in Writing and Rhetoric. She is also involved with the Community Literacy Program and supports multilingual learners through departmental initiatives.
