Abul Khayer

Abul Khayer is a Doctoral Researcher at the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Plant Physiology (AG Gutjahr), focusing on Bioinformatics and Molecular Plant-AM Symbiosis. He previously worked as a Bioinformatician at Computomics (Tübingen) and completed his Master of Science in Plant Genetics at Georg-August Universität Göttingen and IPK-Gatersleben.

• Education: Master of Science (2022-2024), Bachelor of Science (2014-2018).

Research Interests: Khayer specializes in systems biology approaches to gene function discovery in plant stress responses, particularly using bioinformatics to analyze co-evolution and co-expression patterns in tomato heat-stress. His work intersects with machine learning and multi-omics integration.

Grants & Funding: Recipient of multiple scholarships including DAAD STIBET, Tropenzentrum, and institutional funds for his MS thesis.
