Abraham Esteve Núñez

Abraham Esteve Núñez is an Associate Professor at the Universidad de Alcalá (UAH) in the Department of Analytical Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, and Chemical Engineering. He belongs to the IQUAH research group focused on Chemical and Environmental Engineering. His research expertise centers on bioremediation processes involving microbial degradation of explosive compounds like TNT.

He obtained his PhD from the Universidad de Granada in 2000 with a thesis titled Metabolismo anaerobio del explosivo 2,4,6-trinitrotolueno (TNT) por bacterias del género Pseudomonas, supervised by Dr. Juan Luis Ramos.

His work integrates environmental biotechnology with chemical engineering principles. Current research trends focus on microbial metabolic pathways for hazardous material detoxification and sustainable environmental solutions. He maintains an active collaboration network through institutional affiliations and participates in interdisciplinary projects.
