Aboozar Jamalnia

Dr. Aboozar Jamalnia is a Lecturer in Operations Management at the School of Business, Edinburgh Napier University. Previously, he served as an Assistant Professor at Kharazmi University, Tehran, Iran. He holds a PhD in Operations Management from Alliance Manchester Business School (2017) and an MSc in Industrial Management from Shiraz University (2008). His teaching expertise spans undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Operations Management and Operations Research.

His research focuses on the intersection of Operations Management and Operations Research, employing techniques such as mathematical programming, simulation, and Bayesian networks. Key areas include sustainability governance in multi-tier supply chains, Industry 4.0 applications in healthcare supply chains, and production planning under uncertainty. His work has been published in journals like International Journal of Production Economics and Computers & Industrial Engineering.

Recent studies include decision support systems for supply chain sustainability, contingency variables in sub-supplier management, and bibliometric analyses of closed-loop supply chain research. Jamalnia collaborates with the Centre for Business Innovations and Sustainable Solutions, addressing real-world challenges through interdisciplinary approaches.
