Abiodun Ayodeji

Dr Abiodun Ayodeji is a Research Fellow II within the College of Engineering, Design and Physical Sciences at Brunel University London. At the Brunel Innovation Centre he heads the Data Analytics & Process Optimisation team, orchestrating full-TRL R&D programmes that translate data-driven insights into practical solutions for green energy, health, manufacturing, aerospace and nuclear sectors.

Research Focus

Dr Ayodeji’s research converges at the intersection of nuclear engineering and artificial intelligence. He develops AI-enabled tools for real-time cyber-attack detection in nuclear control systems, predictive maintenance of safety-critical components, and digital twin models that optimise manufacturing processes while minimising carbon footprint. Additional themes include non-destructive testing, condition-based monitoring, and intelligent control of complex industrial systems.

Across 2021-2024 his peer-reviewed output reveals a systematic exploration of deep-learning architectures (attention networks, WaveNet, ConvNet variants) applied to reactor safety, cyber-physical security, corrosion phenomena and decommissioning robotics. These works collectively advance both the reliability and explainability of AI in highly regulated nuclear environments.

Responsibilities & Collaboration
