Abigail Gardner is a Professor of Cultural Studies at the University of Gloucestershire, affiliated with the School of Media, Art and Technology. Her research focuses on intersections of music, gender, and ageing, with a strong emphasis on community media and digital storytelling. She leads European-funded projects such as 'Mapping the Music of Migration' and 'My Story,' aiming to foster intercultural exchange through music narratives. Gardner holds a PhD from the University of Gloucestershire and is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Notable awards include the 2009 Public Engagement Award for her 'Synagogue Lane' project documenting Jewish refugee histories.
